Purpose of the Club:
The Villages Music Society was founded to provide an opportunity for musicians to participate in community music groups that will educate as well as entertain. Through the society, The Villages benefits from community concerts and dances provided at low cost. All styles of music are included and performed by residents and local students as well as professional guest musicians. We provide activities to enrich the greater southern San Jose community and encourage attendance and participation in quality musical experiences. Performance groups are: Concert Band, Swing Band, Handbells, Piano Club, and the Village Voices. The Music Society became an incorporated (501)(c)(3) organization in 2007.
Regular Meeting Day/Time:
Concert Band rehearses on Tuesday evenings, Village Voices on Wednesday evenings, Handbells on Wednesday and Friday afternoons, and the Piano Club rehearses on various dates.
Usual Meeting Place:
Concert Band meets at Cribari Auditorium, Handbells in the Arts and Crafts room, Piano Club at various members homes, and Village Voices meet at Foothill Center.
